Kids, whether they are under 10 or in their tweens or teens, are all in their learning phase, and the pace at which they can learn is amazing. I guess, teenage is the best age to master any skill. As parents, we always try to teach our kids whatever we know. We naturally want to pass on our knowledge to our children. With internet, there are unlimited resources available to us/kids (although not all of them are filtered). If we look back 10 or 15 years, we can recall playing a lot of board games that were not only entertaining, but some of them also taught very valuable lessons. One common game that most people have played in their childhood is Monopoly, which introduced me to the concept of real estate in a vague sense.
Believe it or not, there are still many board games available today that can subtly introduce children (and even adults) to basic financial concepts. These games are so interactive in nature that they engage kids and adults, with the primary focus being on fun, but they quietly help develop strategic thinking, understanding about money, assets, and so on.
As I was researching the internet, I came across many classic board games (bought by 1000s already) that are absolutely essential for kids who are beginning to learn to count money, concept of buying and selling (basically trading), growing money and building wealth. Essentially, these games can prepare children for the financial world/ responsibilities they will face after leaving school.
Board games can help kids under 10 understand basic money recognition (bills & coins), counting, basic arithmetic, and financial concepts. Tweens and teens can learn more advanced money management skills like budgeting, concepts of trading, investments, banking, credits & interest, loans & debts, and many other investment strategies & concepts.
